DIFFICULTY · MEDIUM

Medium Sudoku

Medium puzzles suit players comfortable with singles who are ready to manage candidates. They reward disciplined note-taking without requiring long chains.

Who Medium is for

Choose Medium when Easy feels automatic but you still want most deductions to remain visible after a short scan.

Techniques to practise

Use naked pairs, hidden pairs, locked candidates and repeated scanning across intersecting boxes.

Stay systematic

When progress slows, update candidates and compare one row, column or box at a time. Look for two cells that hold the same two candidates.

Common mistake

Stale notes create false patterns. Remove candidates immediately after every confirmed placement.

Easy versus Medium

Easy emphasizes direct placements. Medium adds eliminations that reveal a placement one or two deductions later.
